Tiom, April 19–20, 2025 – In the spirit of Christ's resurrection, the GKI Betel Tiom congregation held a series of meaningful and joyful Easter activities. The event took place over two days, from Saturday to Sunday, April 19–20, 2025, with active participation from all church members, ranging from children to adults.

The series of events began on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 18:00 WIT with the Opening Service led by Rev. R.J. Mnsen, coordinated by the PAM group. This service served as an opening moment to invite the congregation to prepare their hearts and minds to embrace the meaning of Christ’s resurrection. After the service, the activities continued with a Bible Quiz/CCA about Easter, hosted by Mrs. Jeni Pa Nyola. This quiz inspired a spirit of learning God's Word in an interactive and fun way, especially for the younger generation.

At 20:00 WIT, the congregation gathered for dinner, where each member brought food from home. Though simple, this moment strengthened the bonds of brotherhood and demonstrated the value of fellowship through sharing.

Later in the evening, at 20:30 WIT, the atmosphere became more vibrant with a performance by the Vocal Group (VG) from various tribes and church groups. Led by Mrs. Mike Poceratu, each group performed songs that not only entertained but also strengthened faith.

The event continued with the second service and a teaching on Easter at 21:30 WIT, coordinated by the PW group. The teaching provided reassurance of the significance of Jesus' resurrection for the lives of believers. After the service, the congregation was treated to light snacks prepared by the PAM group as an act of love and service.

As the night drew to a close, the program continued with worship and spiritual games until 01:00 in the morning. The PAM and PAR groups organized these activities with creativity to keep the congregation energized, despite the late hour. This segment became a space for the congregation to rejoice, laugh together, and strengthen relationships across generations.

Entering Sunday, April 20, 2025, a solemn atmosphere was felt once again with the early morning service at 01:00 WIT, coordinated by the PKB group. This service served as an introduction to the climax of the Easter celebration.

Afterward, the congregation prepared for the torch procession at 02:00 WIT. This event involved all members carrying torches as a symbol of the light of Christ's resurrection. In a quiet and reverent atmosphere, the procession was orderly and moving.

Children also received special attention with the Easter Egg Hunt at 03:00 WIT. This activity, led by the PAM group, was enthusiastically welcomed by the children as a symbol of new life in the risen Christ.

At 03:40 WIT, the congregation prepared to attend the Easter service, the pinnacle of the entire event. The service began at 06:00 WIT and was led by Rev. Roberto Mnsen, S.Th. In his sermon, he reminded the congregation that Easter is not just a symbolic celebration but a call to live in the light and love of God every day, as the meaning of Christ’s resurrection is a message of joy that must be proclaimed.

After the service, the congregation gathered once again to enjoy snacks prepared by the PW group. This moment marked a warm and thankful conclusion to the smoothly executed series of events.

The Easter activities were not only a time of worship but also strengthened the bonds among church members, fostered fellowship, and instilled values of love, service, and joy in Christ. The active participation of all church groups showed that the spirit of Easter belongs not to one group alone, but to the whole body of Christ, living in service and unity of faith.(Bertho)
