Lanny Jaya, February 5, 2024 – A clear testament to the synergy between the Pamrahwan Task Force Yonif 721/Makkasau and the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) was evident in the inauguration of the GKI Betel Tiom Church Building, Baliem Yalimo Classis, on Monday (02/05). This solemn event was also attended by community leaders from Lanny Jaya Regency.

Dansatgas Yonif 721/Makkasau, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Heri Kuswanto, stated that this inauguration symbolized the strong collaboration among all parties to support regional development.

"This synergy is crucial, particularly between the Task Force, Forkopimda, and the community. Through such collaboration, we can maintain unity and bring positive impacts to the people of Lanny Jaya," he said.

Acting Regent (Pj) of Lanny Jaya, Petrus Wakerkwa, also expressed his hope that this church building would become a central place for the community's religious activities.

"This building is expected to become a place to strengthen the faith and devotion of the community. With this facility, people can focus more on worship and organizing other religious activities," said Petrus.

Community leaders who attended praised the collaboration demonstrated by the Task Force and Forkopimda. They viewed this cooperation as a concrete example of how unity can strengthen relationships among various parties for better development.

The inauguration ceremony proceeded solemnly, beginning with a prayer and followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of the GKI Betel Tiom Church Building. The prayer offered during the event reminded all of Psalm 127:1, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”

The presence of the Pamrahwan Task Force Yonif 721/Makkasau, from the construction process to the inauguration, demonstrated their commitment to supporting religious life in their area of duty. This aligns with their mission to strengthen the social fabric of society through spiritual approaches.

With the inauguration of the GKI Betel Tiom Church Building, it is hoped that the people of Lanny Jaya Regency will be more motivated to make the house of worship a center for nurturing faith, justice, and social harmony.
